GM SUV Second and 3rd Row Seat Guide for 2015 - 2020
Second Row Seats Are Wheelbase Specific
If you have a Tahoe, Yukon, or Escalade then your vehicle is considered the "Short Wheelbase" SUV. The Suburban, Yukon XL, and Escalade ESV feature extended rear cargo areas which made the rear seat bolt pattern change, this is called the "Long Wheelbase".
Third Row Seats Are Universal
The "LT Style" front seats feature a power drivers seat and a manual passengers seat. Available in cloth and leather, with or without heated seats.
Rear Bench & Bucket Seats Are Interchangeable
Converting your seats from bench to bucket or vice versa is a breeze! For most swaps you can modify your original carpet to work, though we try to include the carpet for your installation for free when available.
Manual and Powered Third Row Seats
Power folding third row seats were available for this generation. Their wiring is fairly simple and could easily be replicated by any car audio shop if you're looking to add the feature. Instructions available with purchase.
Third Row Seat 'Un-Delete'
No matter why it's missing it's never too late to add it back. You'll need a small handful of interior parts including seatbelts and the rear cargo bin to finish the installation.
Theft-Proof Third Row Seats
GM had previously faced issues with third row theft thanks to the seats being intentionally so easy to remove. To combat this, fold-flat third row seats were bolted directly to the floor.

Major Upgrades Made Easy
If you're upgrading to cooled seats HarnessDr.com offers wiring to help make these installations possible. We do have some wiring information available for the electrically inclined DIY-er.
Replacing Factory Heated & Cooled Seats
GM used multiple heating and cooling systems in this generation. Be sure to watch for model year differences.
2015 - 2016 Models have Heated & Cooled Seats. 2017 - 2020 Models have Heated & Ventilated Seats
These systems are not interchangeable and the performance difference is negligible - Buy according to your year if you plan on wiring these in with factory harnesses.
A Note About Using K2XX GM Truck Seats
Though the K2XX GM Truck seats directly bolt into your vehicle, we highly advise against it as the airbag systems are different. The SUVs feature an over-console airbag that the trucks lack.
