Heated & Cooled Seat Wiring Made Easy
One retrofit kit will get the heating & cooling system operable for a single seat. This can be installed into the original vehicle as an upgrade, retrofitted into an older vehicle, or even mounted on a pallet. If you have 12 volts and a compatible seat you've got all you need.
Super Duty - Cooled Seats Vs Ventilated Seats
This generation truck offered both cooled and ventilated seats. Cooled seats were offered from 2017 through 2019. The 2020 model year introduced "ventilated" seats. This kit is only compatible with the truly cooled seats. This kit is not compatible with the ventilation system. You can update your truck to have cooling features or use the seats in pretty much anything you want! A quick way to check is to look at the fan going to the seat. If it's just a 3-wire fan and not hooked up to a TED you know they're just ventilated!
Doing It The Right Way
This kit uses components all manufactured by the same supplier that produces the OEM heating & cooling units for Ford, including the manufacturers overheat protection. Cutting corners may save time on the track but when we're dealing with a thermoelectric unit right under your butt we prefer to do things by the book. Other solutions will only hook up the fan or will provide incorrect voltage to the peltier plate without utilizing the temperature overload sensors.
Installation Instructions
This install is super easy! We're not exaggerating, it takes as little as five minutes. Simply unplug your original cooling unit from the factory wire harness, connect it to ours, provide 12 volts, mount your switch, and you're done. If you can change your own headlight bulbs you can install this kit.
